    Marie-Thérèse Assiga Ahanda, born Princess Atangana, is a professional chemist. She worked for a few years in the Science faculty at Yaoundé. She was a delegate to the Cameroonian National Assembly from 1983 to 1988. She is currently (1992) responsible for the running of her department.

    Vincent and Mathilde return to their country and, after the initial joy at meeting one another again, the young people realise that there have been many changes. Now that their country's economy is no longer subjected to a colonial administration, it is in full expansion, but unfortunately there is a kind of "mafia" operating which is obsessed by money and intrigue and which poisons government circles.
