    Edna Merey-Apinda was born in Libreville, Gabon, in 1976. She was 16 when she was sent to boarding school in France (in the Lozère region). After her baccalauréat, she graduated in Commerce (BTS) and International Marketing fom the Institut Supérieur Européen de Gestion (ISEG) in Toulouse. She has always enjoyed writing and in 2004, published a children's book and three short stories in the magazine Amina. She is now (2009) works in Libreville.
