Marie Julie Nguetsè was born in Bafou, Cameroon. She studied at Bafoussam High School, Bertoua's Teachers College and eventually Doula's University where her Master in literature deals with the stylistic approach to women's image in Cameroonian novels by Calixthe Beyala, Leonora Miano and Angeline Solange Bonono. She is currently pursuing doctoral studies at Yaounde's University. She recently founded the Editions l'Ebène devoted to the publication of African romance. Marie Julie Nguetsè lives in Douala (2014) where she shares her time between her writing and teaching career.
