    Born in 1972, Aïssatou Diamanka-Besland came to France in1999 after gaining a Degree in Journalism at the Academy of Information and Communication Technology in Dakar. At present (2007), she is pursuing her study in political science at the University of Paris X Nanterre, in France, on the subject of immigration.
