Trabi-Yrie Micheline Coulibaly was born in 1950 in Xuanc-Lai in Vietnam. She was educated at primary and secondary school level in the Ivory Coast and holds a Diploma in Public Relations. In 1974 she started work at the Central Office of Data Processing in Abidjan. She was appointed Head of Supplies and Purchasing in 1980. In 1994 she left the Ivory Coast to join her family in Mexico, where she lived for six years. She has published several children's books and a collection of short stories for adults. In 1995 she received an honourable mention in the International Competition for Children's Literature organised by the José Marti foundation. In 2001 she moved to Dubaï (United Arab Emirates) with her husband and her daughter.
Micheline Coulibaly passed away on the 19th March 2003.
