    Aïcha Diouri comes from Morocco. She was born in Dakar in 1974. She went to primary and secondary school in the Senegalese capital city and was studying in her final year at the Sacré Cœur College when her first novel La Mauvaise Passe was published.

    This short novel, about sixty pages long, describes the heartfelt outpourings of an adolescent who refuses to accept the corruption surrounding her. It tells the story of Alioune, a young lad who nobody loves, who is rejected by his family and who inevitably ends up on the path of delinquency...
