Emilie EFINDA

    Emilie Efinda was born in Bukavu, Congo, in 1950. She studied pharmacy in Brussels and worked some years for a company cultivating cinchona and producing quinine. She later became the General Secretary of the Health Workers Union. Grands lacs tells her flight from Bukavu to Kinshasa with her husband and children in 1996 because of the war.
