Rita Mensah-Amendah was born in Dakar and currently lives in in Lome
(Togo). She has taught French literature and language at College and University. She was the presenter and producer of many literary programs on the radio and has been a vigorous campaigner for women's rights. Currently, she is a consultant on issues related to gender, violence against women and women's legal rights and entitlements.
