Christine ADJAHI GNIMAGNON An author from Benin writing in French [Return to French Page originale en français] |
Chistine Adjahi Gnimagnon is originally from Benin where she grew up and went to school before moving to Senegal in order to study at tertiary level. She moved to France in 1969 and studied in that country toward a Doctorate in History and Geography. She graduated in 1976, however her university degree did not open the road to full-time employment immediately and she had to battle until 1982 to get a position as Documentalist with the French Education Nationale. Her activities with school-children led to her involvement with storytelling and progressively she became a professional Story-Teller. Chistine Adjahi has been actively involved with African and Beninese associations in the Rhône-Alpes Region. She currently (2003) lives in Lyons.
