    Fatou Fanny Cissé was born in 1971 in the Ivory Coast. She obtained a MA in Communication Studies from the University of Abidjan before enrolling for her PhD. She works as a press attache at the Nouvelles Editions Ivoiriennes and has a column in the magazine Planète jeune (2001). She has also published two romance novels in the "Adoras" collection published by the NEI. (Source: La blessure, 2001, p.8)
