She was first of all educated in Bouémi, in the centre of the Ivory Coast, and then in the northern part of the Ivory Coast where her father had been transferred. It was while she was spending part of her holidays in Les Landes, in France, that she had the idea of writing about how she had been the victim of injustice while still only a child ..."(Back cover)
