Alidjanatou SALIOU-AREKPA

    Alidjanatou Saliou-Arekpa — or Hadja as she is known by her friends and family — was born in Bassila, in the northern part of the Republic of Benin. After completing technical studies in Benin, she enrolled in language studies in Ghana, at the Institute of Languages in Accra. She then returned to Benin and completed a Masters degree in English at the University of Benin. She began working as a civil servant at the Office of the PNDU in Cotonou and is currently (2004) posted in Bangui (Central African Republic) where she works for the UN (BONUCA).
