    Berthe-Evelyne, hails from Benin and now [1997] lives in France. After spending her early childhood in St Louis, Senegal, she completed her primary and secondary schooling in Touraine (France). She returned to Senegal where she completed her university entrance examination and studied modern foreign languages at the University of Dakar.
