Binta ANN

    Binta Ann is better known by her pseudonym Beija. She was born in Guinea, spent many years in Sierra Leone, and in 1987 returned to Guinea with her parents. In 1997, she moved to France where she worked in the field of tourism. She has been a member of many theatre groups in Guinea and has been actively involved promoting the wellbeing of small children, and in the fight against HIV/AIDS. In 1997, a cinematographic adaptation of her text "Awa the Little Beggar" was produced by UNICEF.
