« Fatou Birimah is in her early 30s (2006). She was born in France but hails from Togo. However, she says : "these are not the defining features of who I am, i.e., a woman with all that entails... I belong to an urban commando, I represent society's fringe, its margin, its margin of error. I am not ashamed of myself and, by and large, I'm always aware of what I do, though I'm not sure I understand who I am, then I co-write books : in 2004 "Confessions d'un salaud" (Denoël) and in 2006 "Négresse" (Privé). PEACE!!! » (profile.myspace.com. May 2007)
