Marie-Louise BORREMANS An author from Congo writing in French [Return to French Page originale en français] |
Marie-Louise Borremans was born and raised in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in an Afro-European family. She lived fourty years in the Congo where she was the owner of a restaurant offering haute cuisine. After migrating to Belgium, her greatest wish was to open a new restaurant with a multicultural atmosphere, and that is how, in 1992, she ended up creating « Les Jardins de Bagatelle », a restaurant located in Bruxelles. (From "Les Jardins de Bagatelle" website).
