Mame Younousse DIENG

    Mrs Mame Younousse Dieng is Senegalese. She was born in the small city of Tivaouane, in the Cayor. A primary teacher and later a School principal, she is now retired. She lives in Dakar (1998). She wrote one of the first Senegalese novel in Wolof entitled "Aawo bi". She has also translated the Senegalese national anthem in Wolof at the time of Senegal independence and writes poetry in that language.
