Sanou LÔ An author from the Senegal writing in French [Return to French — Page originale en français]

Sanou Lô was born in 1957 in St Louis, Senegal, where she spent her childhood and adolescence. Following a successful passage through her primary and secondary school years, Sanou Lô left Senegal as a nineteen year old to further her studies, first at Lyons and then Paris. She continued her studies, both in France and Senegal, gaining a PhD. in Literature and Social Sciences. A mother of two children, Sanou Lô shares her time beyond her family life in research work, writing and teaching Anglophone African Literature at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar.
