    Chantal Julie Nlend, née Ngo Mbo, hails from Bassa Land, in the tropical rainforest region of coastal Cameroon. She was born in the 1960s and has shown an interest in literature since her teens. She writes in the limited free time available in between raising her children and working in the pharmaceutical industry.
