    Nadine Dominicus van den Bussche Nyangoma is from Belgium. She is a historian and has lived for many years in Guinée-Bissau where she taught at the Kwamé N'Krumah grammar school. Le Chant des fusillés [Song of the Executed] is in part based on her own life. She currently lives in Brussels with her daughter (1992).

    A chronicle of the revolt in Guinea against the Portuguese invaders. This fight for liberty is evoked in a manner both tragic and moving, poignant and poetic.
