Born in Nantes (France) in 1943, Anne Piette - who speaks many languages - has lived for many years in Senegal, a country she loves since her first visit in 1968. She also lived, for a time, in Morocco and Germany. Anne Piette has been successively an English teacher, a translator and eventually the writer of her own books. Her short story "La morsure du serpent" obtained the Forum Femmes Méditerranée 1997 Excellence Award. Anne Piette was also the winner of the le Grand Prix International Amitié et Solidarité (City of Pau).
