    Ivoirien author, Ida Zirignon has lived in France since 1985 where, in 1999, she gained her PhD for her thesis on "The concept of genocide in international law". From 1994 until 2003, she served with the UN in the role of specialist in the realm of human rights. In 1994, her work took her to Rwanda where she remained until 1998. Committed to the fight for human rights, Ida Zirignon was the founder of the project "Arts en Mémoire" dedicated to preserving the memory of the African genocides.
