    Present:
from 1996 onwards, taking on the future and the world

Today the circumstances under which women writers operate are still improving. Women writers benefit from a larger exposure thanks to websites on the internet and through anthologies. They represent role models for their younger and older sisters as well as for their daughters.
By writing books for children they are helping the future generations grow into readers, writers and actors of cultural development. At this point, it is interesting to highlight that the majority of children's books are written by women, the most outstanding of whom are Jeanne de Cavally, Fatou Kéïta and Véronique Tadjo. Fatou Kéïta has been awarded several prizes for her work. I am pleased to inform you that both Véronique's and Fatou's children's books have been translated into English.

19 women writers' books were published between 1996 and now. In total 55 women writers' books have been published between 1976 and 1999.
